I've been lucky to work with many amazing people and organisations and continue to do so regularly. They inspire and inform me on a constant basis. I'd encourage you to check out their work.
Aik Saath do amazing work with young people in the south of England on the areas of conflict resolution and community cohesion. I'm immensely proud of my connection with this award-winning organisation having worked with them a few times each year for most of the past 10 years. I'm always inspired by their energy, enthusiasm and willingness to get stuck in.
The Corrymeela Community has been working towards peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland since 1965. Their work has been an inspiration and guide since I first worked there in 1996.
The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace
I've been working as part of the pool of trainers at the Foundation for Peace in Warrington, UK for a couple of years. They do wonderful work with young people exploring issues related to peace and conflict. They also have a very well-respected programme working with survivors of political violence and former combatants who are no longer involved in violence and wish to make a positive contribution to their communities.
Creative Visions Foundation
The Creative Visions Foundation support people around the world who are using creativity to help bring about social change. Their website is full of inspiring and innovative approaches. I'm proud that The SongStream Project is part of their 'Creative Activist Program'.
Pádraig Ó Tuama
Pádraig is a poet, writer, musician, storyteller, facilitator and mediator. He has recently taken on the role of Leader of The Corrymeela Community. The spirit and wisdom he brings to a group is something of great value and an ongoing inspiration.
Jonny is probably the most creative person I know. He's an artist and peacebuilding practitioner in Belfast whose art and ideas constantly inspire my own creativity. His personal website is down right now but you can check out some of his art here.
